Galaxy S4, The Next Android Top Smartphone Can Now be Pre Ordered Now!

The Samsung Galaxy S4 doesn’t hit shop shelves until 26 April, but if you just can’t wait to get hold of the full HD, turbo-charged Android smartphone, we’ve got good news for you: it’s now up for pre-order with your network of choice.
Vodafone, EE and Three have all now made the Samsung Galaxy S4 available for pre-order, as have stores Carphone Warehouse and Phones4U – and you can bet O2 won’t be far behind.
The networks are all trying to stand out in their own ways: EE is providing accessory packs worth £55 thrown in for pre-orderers, while Phones4U is offering up to £100 in Google Play vouchers for those who opt for a Samsung Galaxy S4 on EE 4G through the store.
If you can cope without 4G super speeds (or you don’t yet live in an area with LTE coverage), by far the best deal so far however is with Three, which is offering a free Samsung Galaxy S4 on a two year contract for £35 per month, with unlimited data, 500 minutes and 5,000 text messages.
In case you missed the hubbub earlier this month when the Samsung Galaxy S4 was revealed, it’s shaping up to be a true iPhone slayer, with a massive 1080p screen, quad-core processor and 13 megapixel camera, plus the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on board.
Will it match the HTC One for skills though? We’ll let you know ASAP, so stay tuned for a full review soon. In the meantime, let us know where you’ll be getting yours in the comments below. [Source]

Introducing The World's Cheapest Phablet! Half the Price of The Galaxy Note 2

Smartphone upstart Blu Products has dished out three brand new Android-powered smartphones, each of them aimed at different users and price points – but it’s the biggest one that’s caught our eye. Fancy a 200 quid phablet? Look no further than the Blu Life View.
Despite measuring in at 8.9mm thin, the Blu Life View packs in a 5.7-inch HD display along with a beefy 12-megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and a five-megapixel front-facing camera. There’s plenty of storage space on the phone thanks to the 16GB of flash memory built-in, which can also be expanded up to a further 32GB thanks to the microSD memory card slot, plus a healthy 1GB of RAM to help you multi-task with ease. Ringing up at $299 (£200), who needs a £465 Samsung Galaxy Note 2 when this phablet gives you plenty of viewing space for less than half the price?

The Blu Life One, on the other hand, is a fully aluminium-clad, five-inch smartphone, that’s protected by Gorilla Glass 2. Much like the View, the One also shares the same price point and specs, but in a smaller and more manageable chassis. If you’re after something even cheaper, Blu Products has you covered with its Life Play, which is priced at $229 (£153). The low-range model measures in with a 7.9mm thin design, a 4.7-inch display and a five-megapixel rear camera. The storage built-in stacks up shorter, as there’s only 4GB of space, but that’s also upgradeable via microSD.
Each phone in the Blu Life series comes packing the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean release, a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor and even dual-SIM slots, so you can have one number for work and one for play. The whole line is US only, but if you’re looking to import, they go on sale at the end of April.
Are you looking for something that sizes up for less, or are you holding out for Samsung’s next-gen Note? Let us know what you think in the comments below.

Let's Create Pottery 3D Printing From Your Phone or Tablet

Just when you think 3D printing couldn’t get any cooler  – 3D printing of shoes or food courtesy of Cornell University’s Creative Machine Lab  — or scary, via Wiki Weapon an open source project that’s already raised $20,000 to create a downloadable open-source schematic users can follow to print their own weapons at home. A French company steps up the 3D printing game.
France‘s Sculpteo recently teamed with Polish publishing company, Infinate Dreams (iOS and Android) to create a mobile app that lets you design and paint pottery on your smartphone or tablet, send it directly from your device to be 3D printed and then mailed to anyone you want, anywhere in the world.
The app, called Let’s Create! lets you “throw the clay on the virtual wheel” and utilize dozens of materials and colors to create your own unique designs.

“By integrating our 3D printing platform into Let’s Create! Pottery app shows how easy it is to integrate 3D printing into online shops,” said ClĂ©ment Moreau, CEO and Co-Founder of Sculpteo. “Ihis partnership demonstrates how ineluctably the division between the digital world and real world is disappearing thanks to 3D printing technology.”
Sculpteo prides itself on its 3D printing Cloud engine which lets shops and designers  embed 3D printing options  into their online shop, they call it a factory in the cloud. You don’t have to have any technical knowledge nor run around looking for pottery classes or even mold that clay. Which in fact, one could say, isn’t such a great thing since you are missing the real experience of physically molding the clay.
But the Let’s Create! Pottery app has a social aspect for sharing your creations – you can upload and view other people’s creations on the community portal and to date, virtual potters have shared more than 250,000 virtual pots created, each one with unique patterns and shapes.
Even though apps, mobile phones and 3D printing have made things easier for us and gives more people access to activities they might not normally engage in, what happens to our psyche when we no longer know what it feels like to sculpt an object, feel clay between our fingers or touch objects to acknowledge our existence. Only time will tell. [Forbes]
