Streaming music service Spotify is offering college students in the US access to its unlimited, ad-free tier for $4.99 a month, half the usual price. The discount can be used with both new and existing Spotify accounts, and it's valid for twelve months at a time; student subscribers can reapply the offer each year for a total of three renewals. In order to get it, you'll have to submit a copy of a student ID card, transcript for the current term, tuition receipt, or some other document that proves you're at an accredited US institution. The terms and conditions specify that the discount is offered for a limited time while supplies last, but there's no sign that it will be ending any time soon.
