In the
period prior to Apple's massive Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), the
business has apparently achieved an integral accreditation package for its
rumoured Web radio solution, the much talked about iRadio.
CNET reports
that Apple has completed
negotiations with Warner Music Group and their publishing counterparts,
Warner/Chappell Music. The news headlines comes a month after the organisation
achieved yet another deal with Universal Music. Discussions are still underway
with Sony, in line with the report.
iRadio
is suggested to be an Internet radio system similar to Pandora radio, with a
totally free service funded by ads and a paid offering without advertising.
Apple has been developing the concept since last summer, but has had issues in
negotiations with record labels and other publishers due to licensing fees.
iRadio is
expected to be unveiled on the 10th of June at the WWDC in San Francisco.
