LTE may be the king of speed without delay right now, however the next generation mobile technology is already in the pipeline.
Based on Korea's Yonhap agency, Samsung has, with success, tested its 5G platform, knocking down data at 1Gbps in the latest test results. The feat is rumoured to require sixty four antenna parts to make the magic happen, despite, it was confirmed that the technology will be refined and ready by 2020, matching the EU Commission's goal just fine.
The tests may not be the quickest 5G results we have seen, however we're not aiming to laugh at development.
