There is a
mystical new Leica camera coming in
June, and now we know exactly what it looks like.
The camera maker from
Germany teased its new model, named
the Leica Mini M, by posting an image of a simple black box last week. It
appears a French iPad app has leaked it somewhat early, though, Mirrorless
Rumors were able to grab a screenshot of it. The newest camera (above
in the foreground) will reportedly have a 16.1MP sensor with APS-C and a non-removable
28-70mm f/3.5-6.4 lens, these are not the interchangeable mount ones we were
expecting.
The camera is reported to be manufactured from aluminum, and
inclusive is the support for anl electronic viewfinder but this is optional.
Specs are very scarce, but it is believed to do HD video recording, that's a
secure bet, in the box you should find a copy of Adobe Photoshop Lightroom.
The
company is due to introduce the Leica Mini M on the 11th of June, at this time
most of the above, combined with the rumored €2,450 (about $3,150) price, is
going to be confirmed.
