Apple Reveals a 7.9-inch iPad Mini from £269

Hello boys and girls, the playground is opened. The secret that was not meant to be in the tech world. Apple's iPad mini is Apple's newest gadget, measuring just 7.9-inch, manufactured to go head to head with Google's Nexus 7. It will sit alongside Apple's lineup of tablet devices, it has the same 1,024 x 768 display as the Apple iPad 2 device, no need for resizing any of the apps currently available for the screen resolution. Phil Schiller did not call the Nexus 7 by it's name, the competitions tablet was put toe to toe against the newest Apple iPad mini. At the keynote, Mr Schiller stated that the screen, which is .9-inch larger than the Nexus 7, gives the iPad mini 35 percent more display area than the rival tablet by Google and Asus.
This great new addition is just 7.2mm thick, and a .68 pounds device. It has been created with an new process that produces the same anodized edges as can be found on the iPhone 5. If you were expecting equal specifications to the iPad 3,  you may feel a bit let down. While it has a 5-megapixel camera the latest LTE offerings (only available in the 4G model), it comes with the latest generation A5 chip. Despite, the slower components and less demanding display may be the reason why the company managed to produce the 10 hours of use although there is a lot less space for a battery. Pre-orders for the £269, 16GB WiFi model begin on October the 26th and it will begin shipping on November 2nd. The 4G equipped units will begin a few weeks afterwards on all major networks in the UK, prices are still not clear for the contract units.
