LG to Demonstrate a 5" Pliable And Unbreakable Display at The SID Exhibition in Vancouver This Week

LG has got a great deal in the bag to show us at SID's annual display exhibition in Vancouver held this week. Along with that 55" curved OLED TV we initially learnt about last month, LG is going to be demonstrating a really clever 5" OLED display. Designed for mobile phones and other mobile gadgets, the screen is made out of plastic, which makes it both flexible and pliable this is certainly a pleasant quality in regards to mobile phone design.

They will also be showing a 5" and a 7" HD Oxide TFT screens. The 5" size comes with a bezel that is just 1mm wide, this is capable of creating a no boarder design when installed in mobile phones. The two panels are extremely light in weight and need less juice to power them compared to traditional equivalents. To finalise, LG has a 14" 2560x1440 resolution laptop screen readily available, alongside LCDs created for use within refrigerators and car dashboards. Everything Tech will have more from the SID show once it goes live this week, check back here for the hands on with most of these new LG displays, and a lot more.
