Today
at Google I/O the organisation announced that Google Play is arriving at iOS soon. No, not the Google
Play Store, but Google Play Game Services a fresh new number of API's Google is
launching for developers today.
These allow users to snap their games across
platforms, meaning when someone is playing a game on an Android device and it
perishes, their game state is sent to the cloud permitting them to start where
they left off on an iPhone.
As well as cloud save, the newest API have support
for leader-boards and achievements. These features may also be incorporated into
the player's Google+ social network, enabling gamers to compare statistics
against their opponents. Furthermore Google+ users will have the ability to utilise their Circles in the social network platform to locate friends for
gaming over the net.
