GamePop is an Android Game Console That Will Cost You a Fiver a Month, For The Console And a Whole Host of Games!

Ouya and GameStick watch out, there’s another Android-powered game console set to invade your living room, with a radical new business model. For just $7 (£4.50) per month, you get a free console and access to a whole library of games. Should Sony and Microsoft be scared too?
BlueStacks is a company better known for its software that lets you run Google Android apps on your laptop, but now it’s making a play in the gaming space. The charming little GamePop console packs a smartphone’s innards, but hooks up to your TV to play games with a controller or using your own smartphone as a controller.
It’s the business model that separates this from up and comers like the Ouya though: pay just $6.99 per month and you get the device for free (if you pre-order this month), along with access to a library of games you can play as much as you like, Netflix style. There are some big name studios involved too, including Halfbrick (the team behind Fruit Ninja) and Glu (makers of the Gun Bros series).
Would you pay less than the price of Xbox Live to get a console to call your own? You can check out how it works in the video below. Would you pay a monthly bill for a console to call your own? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below. [Source]
