Well hello there. The Nokia Lumia 510, the
Finnish phone giant’s brand new Windows Phone, is out today, and it’s available
to buy right now in a rainbow of colours from Tesco Mobile. Is this your next
budget phone?
NokNok’s spotted that the low-cost supermarket network’s
listed the Nokia Lumia 510 on Pay As You Go for £85 or monthly contracts
starting from as low as a tenner a month, meaning you can get your hands on a
full-blown Windows Phone handset that’s as cheap as chips.
While it might not come packing the latest
version of Windows Phone (numero 8), it’s still got the feature-stuffed and
silky smooth Windows Phone 7.8 onboard with a respectable capacitive four-inch
touchscreen. Much like its Lumia 610 brother, the 510 comes with 256MB of RAM and 4GB of
storage as well as 7GB of free cloud storage courtesy of Microsoft SkyDrive.
On the back of the phone, you’ll find a
five-megapixel camera with auto-focus and video recording alongside all the
usual connectivity options such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS and charging
through micro USB. The phone might be low-cost but it’s still got all the Nokia
Windows Phone apps like Nokia Maps, Nokia Drive and Nokia Transport to help you
out when you’re in need of some navigation free of charge.
Is this your next budget phone or are you holding out for
something even cheaper? Let us know what you think of Nokia’s latest bargain in
