[Solved] Post to Facebook Safari Share Feature Not Working

Earlier today some users reported that the newly released Facebook integration in iOS and OSX was not working as it should.

After confirming that the settings in the Mail, Contacts and Calendars were correct it quickly became apparent that the issue is related to authentication and not the users settings.

There is a thread in the Apple forums related to this issue, the thread can be found here. This is not an isolated issue. There are quite a few posts complaining that the issue is just related to the share button and that they can still click to post in the notifications side bar in OSX Mountain Lion.

If you have the same problems we do, please make a comment bellow and let us know of a possible fix. If no fix is found we are totally dependent on Apple and Facebook to sort it out. This is a new service and we have come to depend on it. Now if it only worked...

**UPDATE** This issue has now been resolved and functionality restored.

If it still does not work for you please follow the following simple steps, it might fix your issue.

1) Go to Safari>Preference>Privacy

2) Click the Remove All Website Data...

3) Go to Safari>Reset Safari

4) Untick everything apart from "Clear History"

5) Click Reset

6) Quit (may take some time) and restart.

7) Works
