This Wednesday
Google unveiled a brand new app in to the iOS App Store called Hangouts, that
may compete directly with iMessage and FaceTime features.
Hangouts is a
cross-platform application, meaning you will have the ability to be on an
iPhone talking with someone on another iOS device, or you may be on an iPhone
having a chat with someone on a Samsung handset, etc.
Hangouts also
features a video chatting option, which supports chatting with as much as ten
other people simultaneously, in addition to that, a messaging feature that
supports sending photos and videos; Emojis are also part of the package. The
messaging feature allows you to chat 1-on-1, or have group chats.
You'll even
have the ability to see as soon as your friends become available for a Hangout.
As
a result of the cloud integration, whatever you do using one device with Google
Hangouts can be finished or continued on another device. Hangouts works on all
iOS devices, all Android devices, and also from the Web on a number of other
devices.
Google
detailed more features, which you can have a look at below:
"View and continue your Hangouts across devices.
Get notifications just once. After you see an alert, it’ll be removed on
other devices.
Snooze your notifications if you’d prefer to respond later.
See what you talked about in the past, including shared photos and your
video call history.
Keep a record of any Hangout for just a short period of time by turning
history off.
View collections of photos shared from each of your Hangouts.
Choose from over 850 emoji to express what’s on your mind."
Hangouts
supports iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad. If you intend on downloading Google
Hangouts and begin your journey today, just download the app free of charge
via this App Store link.
Hangouts by Google is a totally free service.
