It's fair to
express, given the courtroom legacy and market disputes between both companies,
that a large amount of friction, animosity and contempt is present in the
relationship between Samsung and Apple.
They were both at logger heads in
2012 in a court hearing which
saw Apple take supremacy over it's competitor, but with a fresh trial occurring
in 2013 in at the same venue in San Jose, issues have in no way been resolved.
As a really relevant subplot, Apple hasn't been shy of including Google into
the proceedings, and what follows from Apple's recent demands to start inspecting the Android source code included in the hearing, Tim Cook's legal team have now
included the flagship Samsung Galaxy S4 and Google Now in to the mix.
