A new Google Nexus 7? Yes please. After massive success with its
hook-up with Google, Asus is set to reveal the follow up to the super cheap
Nexus 7 Android tablet very soon – boasting better specs and a similar price
tag to take on the iPad mini. Is this your next Android slate?
According to 'DigiTimes’ well placed sources, the Google Nexus 7 sequel is
set to be released in May, and priced at around $249 (£164.50), and aimed
squarely at taking on Apple’s iPad mini – only this time, expect a pixel packed
high-res screen following on from the Nexus 10.
Sources say Asus is also getting
ready to launch a new smartphone around June, powered by an Intel Atom chip.
The new handset is expected to come packing a large 5-5.5-inch display – phablet style – though it’ll have to be something spectacular
to challenge the mighty, looming Samsung Galaxy S4.
