Back in September, HP gave us a first look at the Slate 7 Extreme — a rebranded Nvidia Tegra Note that featured great pen support, a surprisingly great camera (for a tablet), and a nice $199 price point. Unfortunately, it's taken HP four months to bring it to market, but the tablet is finally available. That's all well and good, but the timing isn't exactly ideal for HP. The Slate 7 Extreme uses Nvidia's Tegra 4 processor — a processor that was just superseded last night by the 192-core Tegra K1. Nvidia even called that processor so advanced that "it's almost inappropriate to call it a Tegra 5."
