Sony Unveils Two New Android Xperia Smartphones

Can’t quite afford the Sony Xperia Z? Sony’s got your back with two new cheaper additions to the Xperia range launched today, the Sony Xperia L and the Sony Xperia SP, two new Android blowers that both pack in quality cameras and super download speeds. Is one of these your next smartphone?
First up is the super fast, 4G friendly Sony Xperia SP that comes in black, white or red and packs in a 4.6-inch 720p HD touchscreen phone powered by blazing fast 1.7GHz dual-core processor. You’ll also find a transparent bar on its aluminium body that changes colour to notify you of any messages, calls or emails and pulses along to any music played through the handset.
On the rear you’ll find an eight-megapixel fast-capture camera that promises to hold up well in low-light situations.
The Sony Xperia L meanwhile ooks to be the cheaper of the two new phones, weighing in with a 1GHz processor, and a 4.3-inch screen, but it also shares the same 8MP camera as the Xperia SP. It doesn’t share the transparent notifications, but it does have an LED strip that flashes for alerts. It’s also available in black, white and red.
Both phones come running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, and each phone comes with 8GB of built-in storage that’s upgradable up to 32GB with a microSD card. The phones also come with one-touch NFC tech that lets you beam over content on your TV or share music and photos between phones and ship with Sony’s Walkman range of media apps. While price has yet to be confirmed, both phones are due out before July.
Are either of these set to be your next Android phone or have you got your eyes firmly on the Xperia Z? Let us know what you think in the comments below. [Source]
