Samsung Galaxy S4 Video Appears on The Internet Before Official Launch [Video]

Yesterday, an alleged sighting of the Samsung Galaxy S IV in the wild was spread via Chinese forum. But while yesterday’s leaked images gave very little away, the same source has come through with a hands-on video. It looks very legitimate indeed, and the handset, which is supposedly the China Unicom variant, bears striking similarities to the Galaxy S III and Galaxy Note II.
It’s difficult, even at this very late stage, to determine or verify whether this is indeed a legitimate sighting of the hugely-anticipated device. Imagining this was the real deal, the display would appear to fall in line with rumors, and looks to span the 4.99-inch diameter as speculation has suggested. The resolution is also something which cannot be discerned from this video, and although most will be hoping it does indeed reach the 1080p full HD res as per the consensus, we can’t help but feel whoever made this video wasn’t resourceful enough in revealing some of the key details.

The bezel looks thinner than that of the Galaxy S III, and while the OS will be Android Jelly Bean, Samsung’s TouchWiz aftermarket firmware is also quickly recognizable in this particular video.
Until we hear the confirmation from Samsung on Thursday, we will still keep an open mind, although considering the design traits of recent handsets from the Korean company, this is either a prototype, a disguised handset, or the most plausible piece of fakery in recent memory.

The China Unicom logo is also noteworthy, since some devices released in the Country are slightly thicker than those released in the States and much of Europe. There’s a strong chance the eventual design could differ from what is seen in the video, so I, for one, will be reserving judgment for the next couple of days.

The Samsung Galaxy S IV event will kick off on Thursday 14th March in New York City, and we will provide you with a round-up of all the key details, so make sure you stay tuned to our coverage here at Redmond Pie.
In the meantime, taking the above video into the consideration; do you remain as excited about the Samsung Galaxy S IV? And is Samsung’s latest teaser, which comes off their official Twitter account, enough to raise the excitement levels? Share your thoughts via the usual mediums below
