This Tweak Creates Tap to Snap Instagram Shortcut in the Notification Center

For anyone that likes to use Instagram, you should check out this new jailbreak widget for Notification Center called InstaSnap by iOS developer Ravirajm. The widget is basically a shortcut designed to automatically launch the Instagram application and load up the camera interface so you can shoot the photograph you want to at just the right time. Then, you'll be able to add all the goofy filters you want to and share it to the Interwebz.

InstaSnap comes from the same developer that brought us TorchNC, a widget that we showed you earlier this week that adds a flashlight toggle widget to Notification Center. You can see that like TorchNC, InstaSnap takes after the iOS 6 share widget design. The icon used resembles Instagram and the only text in the widget is "Tap to Snap."

InstaSnap can be easily enabled or disabled at any time by simply dragging the widget in and out of the Notification Center widget group from the Notifications preferences pane in the Settings application. If it doesn't show up immediately after installing the widget from Cydia, please try respringing or rebooting your iOS device and look again:

InstaSnap does require Instagram to be installed on your iOS device to work properly, so you will need to be an Instagram user to take advantage of the widget, otherwise you will get a warning message telling you to install Instagram.

The widget looks great, works great, and if you’re an Instagram user you should check it out! It's available for free right now on the ModMyi repository. [ModMyi]
